Big
congratulations to Reyna Grande! This week, the Maryland Humanities
Council announced that her memoir, The Distance Between Us, is the 2014 One Maryland One Book selection! The "One
Maryland One Book is designed to bring together diverse people in
communities across the state through the shared experience of reading
the same book." Reyna will be doing several talks throughout the state in
late September.
The Distance Between Us has also been chosen for the One Book/One Community program in Farmington, NM. "The
purpose of 'One Book/One Community' is to encourage interested people
in San Juan College and the surrounding communities to read the same
book and come together to discuss it in a variety of settings." Reyna will
be visiting the area in October.
This month, Reyna will be visiting Grand Valley State University as part of the Community Reading Project 2014 events related to The Distance Between Us, and Monroe County, which selected her memoir for its One Book/One Community of Monroe County, 2014.

I'm happy to find your blog because of your experience in Latino publishing. I'm writing a contemporary commercial romantic fiction set mainly in Mexico, but also in the US and other countries. You are welcome to click on my profile to read my blog about Mexico and my novel. Is that something that you would like to represent? Thanks and best wishes.
